It takes up most of the disc and it's the reason most people will buy it. If you do, don't stop until you get to Miaskovsky, a forgotten man in Russian music who richly deserves a revival. Miaskovsky, like his friend Prokofiev, started his career as an avant-garde fire-thrower, and became more conservative as his career progressed.
